Awkward To Expert

I’m a bit of an introvert, I always feel awkward sharing my own life on social media. But, whether you like it or not, your online presence is a key factor defining how the world sees your company and your expertise. When’s the last time you Googled yourself?

Before someone decides to work with you, they often check your website, social media, or industry profiles. If they see different specialties, mismatched descriptions, or bad information, you’re making it harder for potential clients to trust you.
What are you known for? Social media profiles are a place you can choose. Focus on your core skill, your anchor offer. People file you under a single item you can do for them. That’s how our brains work, there’s no other way. Once they’ve “filed” you, they can fill up the file with additional information.

Take 15 minutes and review all of your profiles at the same time.
✅ Do your social media profiles match your website messaging?
✅ Are your bios and descriptions focused on the kind of work you want most?
✅ How are you listed in industry directories or professional associations?

Association directories are as important, sometimes more important, than social media. You pay big money to be in professional associations. Make sure you have taken advantage of all bio and profile opportunities and that they showcase your strengths.

If you work with me, we will dig a little deeper and do online presence audits including directory checks. Small changes—like using the same logo, address, and business description everywhere will help build credibility with people, ai, and search engines.

This is your opportunity to showcase your capabilities. What are three things you are most proud of? Should we be talking about them? There are a lot of people who would benefit from the things you know. It’s about them, not you. Where can you help them? Let’s share that.

You’ve got this!
