Hello!
You probably know which services or products bring in the best margins for your business. But here’s the question — does Google know?
Your Google Business Profile shares information with search engines and can be the place people look before calling you. If you want more of the profitable work, busywork should not be the focus of your profile.
📌 Important update: Google recently removed the Products feature for service businesses. That makes regular posting on the updates section more important than ever for showcasing your best work.
A good Google Business Profile update post includes:
A clear headline that calls out your service or offer.
Keywords customers actually search for (ex: instead of HVAC service” → use “AC repair near me” or “emergency furnace repair Edwardsville”).
A short story or example that shows results or benefits.
A video or a good photo — visuals stop people from scrolling past.
A call to action such as “Schedule a consultation” or “Learn more.”
👉 Midyear is a smart time to review your marketing budget and ask: Are we promoting the services that make us the most money? Your Google posts should line up with those priorities.
This week’s action: Write 4-6 Google Business Profile posts to highlight your most profitable services and encourage people to act. If you are a CGA client, watch your email. We’ll be sending some possibilities to you for review.
You’ve got this!
