Sales pages for revenue generation

For years I have heard experts say “People don’t want to talk to a salesperson until they’re ready to buy.” That’s not true anymore. I’ve heard research now shows 70% of people don’t want to talk to a sales even when they are ready to buy.

I know it is frustrating, but it is a fact of life. What I recommend is to have at least one simple, entry-level service that can sell itself. A workshop, an inspection, or an e-book. Something people can purchase or schedule without needing a conversation.

Think of it as a revenue generator—a way for someone to become your customer through a small, focused offer (usually $200–$1,000) that they can say yes to online, without a sales call.

It could be:

  • A one-hour strategy session

  • A blueprint or planning document

  • A clearly defined audit or inspection

  • A one-time service or starter package

The key is your ability to clearly define one valuable thing. Your offer should explain:

  • Who it helps

  • What’s included

  • The benefits

  • How to checkout or schedule

Buyers make decisions based on what they see online—before they talk to anyone. If they land on your website motivated and ready, give them something to buy. And make it easy to pay.

Start by setting a fixed price for a simple, high-value service. Ideally, it’s something most clients need early in the process—but it doesn’t have to fit everyone. The important thing is to start.

Some people will reply to ask if you can do it for their situation. Others may tell you they don’t think it applies to their market. That’s great—it means you’re getting attention. You can expand or refine later.

I have a payment page and a workshop sales page that stay live on my site year-round. It does not get a lot of use when I’m not actively promoting something, but it is there ready when someone’s looking.

Think beyond your box. What’s one small service you could offer right now—something you could fulfill easily and get paid for while opening the door to long-term relationships?

The first sale doesn’t need to be big. It just a starting point. Make it easy for  your ideal customers to start working with you.

You’ve got this!
